Ratings Information
Important Ratings Policy Change

Due to ongoing problems caused by unaccompanied junior high age patrons, we will now require that patrons be at least a freshman in high school to watch an R rated movie without their parent staying to watch the same movie.

With this policy change, we will require that anyone under 17 who will be watching an R rated movie without a parent MUST present their current year's high school ID at the box office at the time their tickets are purchased.

Persons under 17 who are not able to present their school ID will not be admitted to an R rated movie without their parent staying to watch the same movie. Junior high age or younger patrons found in an R rated film without a parent present will be ejected.

This policy change DOES NOT change the requirement that a person be at least 17 with a valid ID to see an R rated movie without their parent being present at the theatre to purchase their tickets.

R rated movies are intended for mature audiences, therefore parents are strongly encouraged to consider other patrons and not bring their young children to these movies. The content of R rated movies is generally inappropriate for young children and these children often cause distractions for others when they become bored or scared by the movie.

Parents are required to sit with people under 17 they bring to an R rated movie. If we receive complaints about young children causing a distraction, the parent(s) and their children will be ejected without a refund.

In compliance with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) voluntary rating system, we require all children under the age of 17 (16 and under) must have a parental guardian* for all "R" rated movies. If you appear to be under the age of 25, please be prepared to present a valid, state issued photo ID. For more information about our theatre's specific enforcement of the movie ratings, please visit our F.A.Q. page.
*We define a parental guardian as a parent or legal guardian. Older siblings, girl/boy friends, and friends are not considered parental guardians. We can not accept notes or phone calls for permission.

Anyone under the age of 17 (or persons without id) must have a parent or adult guardian present at the time his or her ticket is purchased. For persons who are at least a freshman in high school, the parent or adult guardian is not required to view the film with the child. In this situation, a current high school ID card must be presented at the time tickets are purchased. Since R rated movies are intended for mature audiences, it is expected that anyone watching an R rated movie will behave in a mature manner at all times. If the theatre management needs to ask someone to leave an R rated movie for causing a disruption, the person will be ejected from the theatre without a refund.

Entering an auditorium without the properly issued ticket(s) will result in ejection from the building without a refund.

Purchasing a ticket for a lower rated (G, PG, or PG-13) film, then entering an auditorium showing a R rated film will result in ejection from the building without a refund.

Please retain your ticket stub until you leave the movie. This is your proof of admission. If you do not have your ticket stub, you may not be allowed to re-enter the movie.

If a question arises about a member of a group having a properly issued ticket, all members of the group may be asked to show their tickets stub. If any member of the group is not able to present the correct ticket, all members of the group may be ejected from the building without a refund.
